| The Business & The Team |
| Dragons and Daffodils Cakes was established in July 1999 by Rhianydd Easton. Initially a home-based business in Pontypridd, it quickly outgrew the space and on March the 1st 2006, we expanded and opened our new studio in Tonyrefail. Click to see our Studio page. Although it has a shop front, behind the scenes it is our kitchen workrooms where we create the cakes. In 2008, it became a truly family business as expansion allowed the addition of Rhianydds husband Kevin full time into the team. The reason for the title? Well, we wanted a Welsh sounding theme as we are based in Wales. We also wanted to represent the fact that we create both novelty wedding cakes (the dragon) and sugar flowers (the daffodils). By end of April 2008 we have created and produced over 1000 wedding cakes. The experience that comes with this, together with Rhianydd's original designs mean we stay one step ahead of our competitors to give you a unique and exciting cake for your Wedding or Civil Partnership. Our customers often travel great distances to come and book one of our cakes, and we are always pleased to be able to help create the cake of their dreams. |
