Copying of our Photographs
It has been brought to our attention that our photographs are being used on other peoples websites either as design choices or to advertise their company. You could say that copying is the most sincere form of flattery, however, these websites haven't copied the design, they've used our actual photographs! Which means that they probably haven't actually created a cake similar to the one they are trying to advertise which is most worrying for the Bride who then orders it in good faith. All photographs on our website were of cakes actually produced by Dragons & Daffodils Cakes. Our photographs and cakes are not to be used by another company or person unless they have been given express permission by Rhianydd Easton (Owner/Proprietor of Dragons & Daffodils Cakes). If you see one of our designs on another site, please can you let us know. Thank you

Out with the Nurses
Rhianydd had a great afternoon with the Nurses and staff from Oral and Maxillofacial Department of the Royal Glamorgan Hospital on their Training Day. They all made Christmas Trees I hope you like them!!
21st Squires Kitchen International Exhibition Mar 07
Rhianydd took four wedding cakes to the Wedding Cake Display and another "cake" to the Table of Honour. |
Rhianydd also taught a mini class on her sheep pillars which was a fantastic afternoon with much hilarity. Left is the lovely ladies and right is the result of their hard work. (click for close ups)
Our display table. The weekend was only marred by the theft of the large floral display at the base of the white iced cake. Always disappointing when you are among fellow sugarcrafters!
The Tree! Rhianydd fancied a change from the usual wedding cakes for this chocolate tree. Chocolate dominos, chocolate transfer sheet butterflies and modelling chocolate blossoms and roots

The Cake! Our theme - redecorating the studio! The top tier is a fancy dust sheet with mini display cakes on top. Rhianydd and Julia are supporting the top tier and Nicola is busy wallpapering. We had to be innovative, use colour, modelling, piping and a specialist skill (sugar pillars). The inside, when cut, gave a slice of cake coloured like a rainbow.
Finalists! (Centre Sue McDonld, Have Your cake & Eat it and Terry Tang (Terry Tang Designer cakes), the well deserved winner!

Dragons & Daffodils Cakes have moved 2012 saw great changes in my personal life and I have now moved the business back home so that I am there for my two wonderful children. The production of cakes will be unaffected as I am still subject to visits from the Environmental Health Officers, Trading Standards, Health & Safety and all the important checks that ensure you obtain your cake from a trusted source. The business started from home in July 1999 and moved as the business grew. As I now run the business half wedding cakes and half classes, the premises is no longer needed. In fact, it made being a good Mother there for my children very difficult. This means I can be there for them and still continue with my love for all things cake. I have found wonderful larger premises for the classes in Pantygraigwen Road Community Centre, Pontypridd.
child in their first week, I still have my S4C Badge. We were delighted to be commissioned to make the 170 cupcakes as part of their birthday celebrations |
