  3. Enrolment closes the day before the first class or when the class is full

Ingredients and Equipment 

 

The ingredients are included in the cost of the in person class and the tools will be available for you to use during the lesson.

Wednesday Evening 7-9:30pm.  Decorated Cookies 

3 weeks all inclusive £70 * 3 spaces

The facebook group available to enrolled students 

Cookies are so popular and a wonderful way to create special gifts. 

We will be using royal icing with different methods to create these cookies

Don't forget to keep an eye on my YouTube channel for more videos 

Ingredients and equipment are available to use - you will take home what you make

Week 1 - 25th January - Floodwork cookies

Week 2 - 1st February - Two styles of cookies - 1st - stencilling with royal icing onto a plain un-iced cookie, then sugarpasting a cookie and adding piped details

Week 3 -  8th February - Floodwork dual-design cookies - A skill is better learnt with repetition, so this week we will continue with the floodwork and adding a little more detail dropped into the icing as well as piping lines and shell edges.

We are very much looking forward to Spring and this class will show you how to start from a sponge cake, ganache and ice with sharp edges right through to adding piped details to both the board and cake including an inscription and finishing with delicate sugar snow drops

Don't forget to visit my youtube channel after the class for relevant videos to practice skills such as  ganache, how to ganache and how to sharp edge ice the cake.

(please note there will be gaps in the schedule due to other teaching commitments and half term)

You do not have to bring anything for class other than snowdrop flower cutters, but all other ingredients and equipment will be provided.  You will take home what you make.

Week 1 - Starting 15th February - Sugar Snowdrop flowers and leaves

Week 2 - 1st March - Decorating the drum using sugarpaste and adding delicate royal icing details including pressure piped snowflake flowers, piped dots and lines

Week 3 - 8th March - Cake - You will be provided with a sponge cake that has been split and filled which you will then ganache as well as using the remaining time to complete your snowflake flowers.

Week 4 -  15th March - Cover and complete cake - We will cover the cake with sharp edges, place the cake onto our pre-decorated drum, add a delicate ribbon around base of the cake, then add piped "Spring" inscription, dots, drop loops and embellishments before adding your sugar snowdrops to complete the design.
