What do we do in class?

Each class has a different subject and people of all skill levels are in the classes.

Have a look at the gallery below to see what we have already created this term. 

There is also a little information on what we are going to do in the second half of the term. 

If you are interested in joining us on the classes, all the recordings of the term so far are held on the password protected weekly class pages and are available for you to watch when you wish.

Some classes have in person spaces but all are available to join online.

Monday morning


10am - 12pm

week 7 - 9/11 - Complete our wafer paper peony

Weeks 8-12 16/11 - 14/12 - Flowers.

We will be making a pot of sweet peas, then a potted alstromeria made from Artista soft hearty soft deluxe air drying clay.

We will be learning how to cut out, vein, shape, wire and colour to create the flowers and arrange them in a pot for a lifelike finish.

Monday Evening



Week 7 - 2/11 - Complete our flowers

Weeks 8-12   9/11 to 14/12 Wire Armature Faerie

Whether you choose standing or sitting, we will learn how to create a wire armature so that the faerie can be posed as you wish. 

Learn how to model hands, feet and face (or you can use a mould if you prefer) and dress your faerie. 

We will also be arranging her in the scene with our flowers

Tuesday Morning


10am - 12pm

Weeks 8 - 12   10/11 to 8/12  Old fashioned telephone 

Inspired by my tiffany blue vintage telephone cake, we will be creating our own designs and shapes to create a unique vintage telephone.  Pick your colour and embellishments and I will show you different options for shape too. 

Choose from fruit cake for Christmas or us rice cereal treats

We will also be arranging our bird and flowers onto the design.

Tuesday Evening



Week 8 10/11 complete peony blossom and eucalyptus arrangement

Week 9 - 12    17/11 - 8/12  Toadstool cake and cheshire cat

You can choose either to work in cake, rice cereal treats or a dummy for the toadstool and choose which size too.  We will be sculpting the cake/RKT/dummy and decorating, before creating a cheshire cat from either cake or rice cereal treats to sit in the scene.

A great way to learn novelty cakes.

Wednesday Morning


10am - 12pm

Weeks 8 - 12   11/11 to 9/12  Victorian Father Christmas

Inspired by my Victorian Santa, we will be creating a standing Father Christmas that can be transferred onto your Christmas cake or kept as a side decoration. Choose your own colours, and learn how to personalise his clothing as well as sculpting detailed Facial features

We will also be completing our Cosmos flower 

Wednesday Evening



Weeks 8 - 12   11/11 to 9/12  Gelatine Work 

Brand new work here. 

We will be learning how to carve a cake and work with gelatine for a brand new skill. 

Watch us create our winter wonderland scene complete with little models too.
